At first glance this is just a bunch of random letters, but in reality it stands for The Botswana Family Welfare Association, which is where I will be working in Botswana. The agency focuses on providing sexual and reproductive health access and education to all populations, but targets youth. My more conservative family members (we won't mention names) love that the agency is associated with the International Planed Parenthood Federation! Should be an interesting and educational 10 weeks!!!!

Well....this is it

So I never thought I would entering the blogging world mainly because I am (as those who know me well will attest) a private, direct and logical person, which doesn't leave much room for creative and witty posts. But since I do have some pretty exciting things going on right now I guess there is no better time to start blogging. So for those who are interested here's a quick update:

I am week from completing my course work for my Masters in Social Work (por fin!) and will soon be headed to Botswana, Africa for an internship. I figure this blog can capture my "African Adventure" while ensuring my mom that I am safe and alive!
